No more reactors - Upgrading of Nuclear Power Plant Temelín failed

Temelín is the biggest Nuclear Power Plant in Czech Republic. Near the Austrian and the German border there are already situated two blocks. The power plant was planned in the 1980s, constructed in the 90s. Around 2000 began the pressure to expand. The plans for two new blocks are existing for already three years. Last Thursday Czech utility and operator of the power plant ČEZ stopped the project, because of non-profitability of the tender....
